hello all! New here to the community and I must say this is pretty cool. So my laptop started dying a few days ago while plugged in. A few hours it would charge then it wouldn’t. Finally died. I bought a replacement battery and did the quick install and it did not work. Does that mean I should buy a new charger for it? If the brand new battery won’t power on the laptop and my charger doesn’t seem to be charging the new battery wouldn’t that mean it has to be the charger? Thanks everyone in advance!!!!

I've had several power adapters die, only one with visible damage.

In three of the failures if I've gently gripped the small wire, that goes to the laptop, where it comes out of the adapter and mildly pushed it into the adapter and sort of bent it around it has 'made contact internally' and started charging the laptop again for a bit.

This has worked for a while under normal use but if I'm running the graphics card it seems to overheat and cut out charging again, then sometimes starts charging after it cools down a bit.
