I have similar problem to the thread below. I uninstalled the driver when it wasn't working and thought it would automatically install upon restarting the PC. It didn't and I've been struggling since, I don't remember what the driver name was other than Realtek family controller. I've since installed "Realtek PCI GBe Family Controller" but I just get error code 31 and windows saying that it can't load the driver. I'm dependent on the ethernet connection to be able to use my PC properly. I've again uninstalled the driver so I am back to square 1, can anyone help me?

FIXED - I took my RAM out and put it back in after a couple of minutes
