M5-581TG: Thoughts on adding an mSATA drive

Hi all

I have a smart new M5-581TG, with the 500GB HDD installed. I am considering getting an mSATA (about 128GB is in my budget) to make it even better. I'd welcome your thoughts

Bearing in mind it's not possible to boot from the mSATA (apparently), there's a few ways that I can imagine that I can go about this:

1) Use the recovery media to install the OS on the mSATA. I'd need to install GRUB or something on the HDD, but I guess this should work. I could get the 'Windows' folder and most of the 'Program files' folder on the mSATA, but would need to link back to the HDD for my Steam games.

2) Use Intel SRT. Looks easy to do, but I don't get any more storage capacity, and it wouldn't be as quick.

3) Install the mSATA, and make symlinks for the 'Windows' and 'Program files' folders. I'm worried about this causing permissions problems and other nastiness that I am yet to discover.

Many thanks in advance for any advice!
