I am having issues on getting to use Wd Black SN770 1 Tb SSD hard drive. i have it in my second SSD spot it says it is there but when i look it up in my settings it says i only have 256 gbs of memory. I defiantly new to adding memory to my laptop. Any help would be appreciated.

Our assumption is that you are trying to put the WD drive into an Acer computer, and since they haven't made any server computers in many years, it's likely either a desktop or laptop computer. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. You are also likely confusing the terms 'memory' and 'storage'. Memory is typically in the small number of GB range, so 4GB, 8GB, 16GB. Storage is typically in the high number of GB or low TB, so 256GB, 512GB, 1TB. You are likely trying to replace a 256GB SSD with a 1TB SSD. Just adding a second drive doesn't replace the existing one. To replace it you will need to clone the old drive to the new one, boot from the new one, then wipe and reset the old one to be a data drive. When done you will have a much larger C: drive and a D: drive that's empty.
