Aspire AV15-51 - Screen popping out

My Aspire AV15-51 laptop screen popped out at the bottom right corner when I opened it yesterday (see pic). Over the past few weeks when I was opening the laptop it was making some creaking noise, nothing significant - but when I opened it yesterday it was sticking, and then when fully opened the screen popped. The laptop still works, but I really don't want to shut it in case the issue gets worse.

Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions?

That is the right hinge assembly breaking loose from the lid. Expensive repair if done by Acer Services as it involves replacement of the hinge, frame and possibly the lid (est. $200). Best not to close the lid anymore as the screen may crack, the laptop is less than 3 years old and you have to decide if this repair is worth the investment, you may want to wait another year and migrate to a new laptop that are dropping in price by the year, you can get an excellent 2k 14" Swift-X (16GB DDR5-4800MHz, i7 12th Gen) in a full metal body with super strong hinges for only $680. Trying to glue it won't work but a good repair shop may be able to reattach the hinge with small screws, it will remain a vulnerable spot and probably will break again.
