So i have been using my acer predator helios 300 gaming laptop for the past two years at this point. It has a rtx 3060 with i9 11th gen and 16 gb ram

I mostly play valorant only but before i used to get above 150 fps easily even on a slower wifi connection but now its quite the opposite and now won't get more than 110-120 fps is this because of the dust accumulated in the fans which are quite easily visible also my gpu is heating like crazy for example it reaches around 87 degrees easily which wasn't the case before

Point to note is that not once has my laptop been opened for any kind of sorts and is running stock as from manufacturer.

So is it time for a thermal paste change and cleaning of the interior as i plan to use this laptop for the longest time and as a Computer science student this is all i have and i do not want to end up with a burnt cpu and gpu which would take a toll on me financially and mentally also . Please help…………………..

You most certainly need to clean the fans and do repaste, use the Thermal Grizzly products as they are the best, use liquid metal paste for the cpu/gpu and even change the thermal module pads, follow the Thermal Grizzly strict application guide for the liquid metal paste as if you don't you could cause damage to your mainboard, so be aware of that. Also install the NVidia GeForce Experience software and play your games with this specialist NVidia gaming software for the RTX3060 gpu as this software will improve gaming fps and temps. Good luck.
