My acer Nitro 5 AN515-43 says that I have 237gb but it seems like I have 138.8gb

Hi, I'm not very good with laptops so I might be getting confused here.

Below are pictures of my storage space for reference:

The first image is from the WinDirStat app which shows that I have 138.8gb of storage space and shows how it adds up.

The second picture is from my file explorer app which shows that I have 237gb of storage.

Could someone please explain why these numbers are so different because I keep running out of storage space quite easily.

Thanks.

You need to get a larger boot drive this one is full and will crash any moment. Don't use Windir for this but in File Explorer right click on C:\ left panel and select Properties, you should see this:

If your boot drive is still a 2.5" Sata-3 "spinner" replace that with a very fast 2TB Samsung 870 EVO V-NAND 2.5" Sata-3 SSD. Backup the drive to an external USB backup drive (Seagate Backup 4TB, $100) using Windows7 BU Image file app in Control Panel Windows10-11. The VHD backup image file can be mounted in File Explorer in any version of Windows. This will also create the Windows USB recovery flash drive if you stick a flash drive in the USB port at the end of the W7 backup process. Replace the internal drives and boot with the Windows Recovery drive and the Backup drive both inserted in USB ports and select "Recover from an image file on another drive".
