So, my Helios 300 PH315-53-75NL won't turn on anymore. I was away for 15 days and when i came home i opened the lid and the computer turned on, which i found strange, since that never happened before. So i turned it off. I tried turning it on again through the power button, but it wouldn't work. I then closed the lid and opened it again, and it turned on again. I started looking online for solutions, and i ended up going to energy settings and turning off fast startup. I then turned the computer off, and could never turn it on again, not by pressing the power button nor by closing and opening the lid. I tried many many things, from trying to short the keyboard pins relative to the power button, to reseting the BIOS, removing the battery, etc. The charger seems to be fine. Not sure about the battery. When the charger is connected the battery light turns on indicating its full. I put the battery on the freezer and left it there for some time, connected it again and the led is still indicating the battery is full. Any ideas on what is going on? Thank you in advance.

You were probably in Hibernate mode; when you leave your laptop unused for longer periods make sure that the system is completely shut down and always keep the power adapter plugged-in (or remove the battery). Reset BIOS with F9 in BIOS and save changes on BIOS exit. Boot to Windows and reset your Power Plan in "Edit Power Plan" to factory defaults. Disable both Hibernate and Fast Startup (recommended by MS) in "Change what closing the lid does" and "Change settings currently unavailable" and reboot. Go online and paste these 2 commands in the Command Prompt opened as administrator: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and press the Enter key. After completion paste this: SFC /scannow and press Enter, repeat SFC till you see "….did not find any integrity violations".

If the battery is less than 3 years old and was fully charged when you last booted do the Power Drain routine below, if the laptop is under warranty bring it to Acer Services in your country, if you believe the battery drained 100% during your absence (which is a possibility) replace the battery.
Power drain + CMOS reset: Open the back of the laptop and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Locate the CMOS module (with 2 twisted wires Red and Black under the battery) and remove the coin battery. Shorten the +/- terminals inside the CMOS capsule for 2 seconds with a bended paperclip and put the coin battery back with the + sign facing up, close the CMOS capsule. Unseat the 2 RAM modules and firmly secure back in the 2 slots. Next, press the Power Button on the keyboard for 10-15 seconds after that reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard. Close the laptop, plug-in the adapter and try to boot. If you can boot but the amber battery LED flashes replace the battery.
