Nitro AN515-57 Acer Care Center NOT WORKING/ NOT OPENING

I have tried what others have said in older post, but they are outdated and no longer relevant. This only happened with the last two minor windows updates that happened this week.

I have a Nitro AN515-57, running windows 11 with automatic updates. Please help me, I have no way to limit my battery charging to 100 percent, and I always use my laptop pluged in.

Before these last two windows updates, acer care center would sometimes not start, and without me usually noticing, my battery would charge from 80 to 100 percent, and I would have to open the software and turn setting back on.

In addition you can install Care Centre from microsoft store if you need. which is stable version. I completely agree with colleague

Hi,
You don't want to limit battery charging, battery charging limiting interferes with Windows11 Power Plan and BIOS, that's why Acer no longer has this 80% charging option in later versions of ACC. You don't need Acer Care Center, just uninstall it in Windows Add and remove programs, you can easily download a later version of ACC or AcerSense again, also available in the Windows Store as Acer Care S. If you notice that somehow the battery charging is still limited to 80%, check in Windows Services if ACCSvc is still running or AcerAgentSvc, stop and disable starting of these services in Properties.

Thank you every one for the replies. It's a shame Acer does not support the charging limit anymore. It would be good if Windows 11 would have it's own charge limit for laptops. The laptop batteries really don't like to be charged at 100 percent all the time.

As I stated above, and most of my peers will agree, don't limit charging of a Li-Ion battery. What you read on the web about battery longevity tricks is a hoax all based on an old NASA report about Ni-Cad batteries that supposedly suffered from a so called "Memory Effect", since long debunked. The modern Li-Ion batteries with Smart chips need to be charged to 100% and should be used fully charged with a power adapter plugged in 24/7: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001587.htm
