Can we remove the solder and add another cpu?

What if we were electronically skilled.. Can we de-solder the old CPU and solder in a socket in its place and then insert a more powerful CPU? I have the same question as this person @tkalfaoglu

    It is possible but probably easier and safer to replace the entire motherboard as you need to be highly skilled, and it requires special equipment and socket. Finding a replacement CPU is hard enough you're more likely to find replacement motherboard with CPU included, and if the BIOS doesn't support the new CPU, the motherboard just won't know what to do and won't POST.

    How old is the computer ?. How long are you using it ?. May i know the computer model. We need to look at the model to check the upgrade specifications. It is easier to upgrade memory, and hdd. Regarding the cpu we need to look at the specifications.
