I am encountering a highly complex technical issue with my Acer Aspire 5 laptop, which involves intermittent connectivity loss and the sudden disappearance of the network adapter.

The problem manifests as follows:

while using the laptop, the Wi-Fi connection abruptly drops without warning, rendering the device unable to connect to any network. Upon investigating further, I discover that the network adapter has vanished from the Device Manager, making it impossible to troubleshoot or reinstall drivers. Restarting the laptop sometimes temporarily resolves the issue, but the problem resurfaces after a short period.

This issue has persisted for several weeks, and despite attempting various troubleshooting steps such as updating drivers, resetting network settings, and performing system restores, the problem remains unresolved. As this issue severely disrupts my ability to use the laptop for work and personal tasks, I urgently require expert assistance to diagnose and resolve this complex technical challenge.

Additional Details:

  • Laptop Model: Acer Aspire 5 (Model Number: A515
  • Operating System: Windows 10 Version
  • Wi-Fi Network: Various networks, including home, work, and public networks
  • The issue occurs intermittently and without any discernible pattern or trigger.
  • The disappearance of the network adapter from the Device Manager complicates troubleshooting efforts, as traditional methods of resolving connectivity issues become ineffective.
  • No recent hardware modifications or system updates coincide with the onset of the issue.
  • The issue persists across different locations and Wi-Fi networks, ruling out environmental factors as the cause.
  • External network adapters have been tested as a workaround but are not a sustainable solution.
  • The laptop's warranty status and eligibility for hardware repairs may need to be considered in the resolution process.

First of all your Aspire 5 has a model number and its not just a Aspire A515, as on the underneath of the laptop there is a sticker that has the full model number written of what your laptop is, its something like Aspire A515-xx-xxxx, so please let us know what that exact model number is, as just saying A515 means nothing as there are thousands of different Acer Aspire A515 laptop models😁.

The problem that you are experiencing as you have done allot of the software fixes that needs to be done, you probably have a problem with the Wi-Fi/BT card that is faulty and its intermittently connecting and disconnecting and causing those problems that you are having. Due to not knowing your exact Aspire A515-xx model laptop that you have, I can't advise you what card you should replace your existing card with, as usually Acer fits two to three different cards to allot of the Aspire A515-xx laptop models, so I could advise you to change the card to a different manufacturer and model. Get back to us with the exact model number so that we can advise you further. Good luck.
