AN517-51 Display issue automatically goes to a black screen after turning on after 10-12 hours.

Hello sir. I have an AN517-51. When we turn off the computer for 10-12 hours and then turn it back on, it automatically goes to a black screen. The keyboard still lights up, but we cannot do anything. We need to turn it off (hold the power key) and then open it again for it to work normally. Does it have a problem with the graphic, MB or software?

Maybe you are not shutting down the system but use the Sleep Mode function, after a few hours Windows will switch from Sleep to Hibernate mode automatically (Modern Standby) that may have issues waking. Disable Hibernate and Fast Startup and reset your power plan to factory defaults. Aborting Hibernate mode by keeping the Power Button pressed down corrupts system files that are automatically refreshed when rebooting Windows but sometimes that fails, go online and open the Command Prompt as administrator, paste this command:
Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and press Enter key, then paste this in the same command prompt window: SFC /scannow and press Enter. Repeat till you see "….did not find any integrity violations". Finally reset BIOS with F9 in BIOS and save changes on exit.

Try to do a hard reset first as the EC chip gets frozen and stops the laptop from booting and an easy fix is to do a hard reset by taking the main battery out, disconnect the bios battery and short its +&- plug pins and take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for 1 hour then reconnect as this should reset the laptop and the EC chip. If this doesn't fix the problem, then have an experienced technician analyze your laptop as you could have either an EC chip problem or a eDP cable problem or screen problem. Good luck.
