Title. The notebook is already out of warranty and a few years old, I found the previous battery to be swollen and had it replaced, but after everything was done the pc started not recognizing the nvidia gtx 1050 ti it came with, and the fans run at full power all the time. Is there anything I can do?

It sounds like there may have been some unintended consequences after replacing the battery in your Acer Aspire VX 15. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure that all internal connections, including those related to the graphics card, are properly seated and connected. Sometimes, components can become loose during battery replacement.
    2. BIOS Settings: Check the BIOS settings to see if the graphics card is still recognized. Sometimes, a BIOS update or reset may be necessary to re-detect hardware components.
    3. Driver Update: Try updating the drivers for your Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. It's possible that the driver became corrupted during the battery replacement process.
    4. Reset CMOS: Resetting the CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) settings may help resolve hardware recognition issues. Refer to your laptop's manual for instructions on how to do this.
    5. Inspect for Damage: Carefully inspect the area around the graphics card for any signs of damage or corrosion that may have occurred during the battery replacement. If you notice any damage, it may be necessary to replace the affected components.
    6. Seek Professional Help: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be best to seek assistance from a professional technician or the manufacturer's support service. They may be able to diagnose the problem more accurately and provide further guidance on potential solutions.

By following these steps, you may be able to identify and resolve the issue with your Acer Aspire VX 15 not recognizing the graphics card after changing the battery.
