Acer Nitro V N22C1

Under other devices in windows device manager I have an unknown multimedia controller. all update/install drivers in device manager find nothing for it. I believe I hace all acer drivers installed for this model but I have no clue what that unknown multimedia device is.

I also have issues with any software requiring Opengl as i get a "Couldn't probe opengl. this device requires opengl 2.0…." I have most updated drivers from nvidia alongside geforce experience, and I believe it might be because of this unknown device.

[Edited the thread to add model number to the title and to add issue detail]

    Uninstall all Unknown Devices, drivers with yellow exclamation marks and greyed out devices, also check/expand Hidden Devices in Device Manager and just reboot, if you are on Windows11 23H2 make sure it is updated to build 22631. 3296

    On the OpenGl error, go online and open the Command Prompt as administrator, paste this: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth after completion paste this: SFC /scannow and press Enter. Repeat SFC till you get "…did not find any integrity violations"

    Hi. thanks for the reply. Tried both sets of instructions. unfortunatly neither worked.

    still getting the same unknown device after reboot with no drivers findable. running in windows 10 thought, but up to date on updates

    and still getting same opengl error after getting up to the point of "didnt find any integrity violation"

    Anything else I could try?

    @Carlos7563

    You can try to find that driver using Hardware ID and post it on google.

    Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
    Thank you and have a nice day!

     @AnhEZ28 thanks for the reply but that didnt work either. I ended up in acer page as I believe it has something to do with the chipset following the hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_15E2&SUBSYS_159E1025&REV_60

    anyway after selecting my specific laptop model it downloaded the following generic .exe

    amd-software-adrenalin-edition-24.3.1-minimalsetup-240320_web.exe

    this .exe apperently performed a series of installs and rebooted my pc. after loging it prompted the following error:

    following that url it suggested to download amdsoftwarecompatibilitytool.exe which when run only shows:

    And thats it. still have the unknown multimedia device
