What thickness and type of paste and pad do you guys recommend I use? The pink pads are completely rock solid (somehow) and I intend on replacing them. Is it alright just to use thermal paste on it or use pink pads? If so what exact ones do you recommend?
Cheers

Depends on what type of a PC you have? I recommend using the Tremal Grizzly range as they have pastes and pads for all applications, get a range of 1mm and 0.5mm thick pads so that the thermal VRAM is adequately covered and the pad is making contact with the thermal module, so you need to test which combination pads thicknesses are best, its the same with the paste. Follow Thermal Grizzly extensive guide of how to apply especially the liquid metal paste if you are using this top end cpu/gpu paste. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

I have a nitro 5 an515-57. CPU is giving 90C temps on just medium load which is quite odd. Cleaned out the heatsink and fans and vents and stuff with compressed air, replaced thermal paste but the pink pads were losing elasticity and some were rock solid. Thought it might be worth my time replacing the paste and giving it a good clean if I have to replace the pads anyway. Got a little lost on whether to use 1mm or .5mm pads, what type etc so I hopefully won't have to replace again for the next 2-3 years
