Hi,
I am looking to upgrade my acer laptop existing HDD 1TB hard drive to SSD 1 TB. I opened up the hard drive compartment of my laptop and saw there is an existing spare M2 port I can use. I looked into relevant threads and found out I can use NVMe gen2 or 3. I Might not be able to maximize the performance out of it but since it is cheap and similar to SATA drive type price so why not. My questions are as follows:
- I have a hard drive I am looking to purchase but is gen 4 is there a way to confirm that it will work before ordering it?

2. Will I be able to use SSD as my primary drive which helps my laptop process faster and existing HDD as secondary drive?
3. I can follow instructions but this is my first time doing it so need a good guide on how to move/clone things(older applications, windows, files etc.) to new SSD.
Any help is really appreciated.
