Issue with keyboard on Nitro 5 (AN515-51)

Hello, so today I was browsing my games files when I saw that my laptop was really laggy, so I decided to restart it.

When I did so, the fans started going really fast and the laptop stayed on a screen with the logo and under it 'We are preparing to update your device'. I turned it off as the fans weren't a good sign. It looped for around 3 cycles (of which I think I did because I held the power button down a couple times). When it turned back on the laptop keyboard lights stopped working.

I tried updating the drivers for the keyboard but that seemed to do nothing.

I don't have Nitro sense, my laptop is too old.

Any help would be wonderful, thanks.

You should never ever press the power button if you get the Acer screen logo and then the "We are preparing to update your device' as you will corrupt the OS boot files. The keyboard for a 7years old laptop could be faulty and needs replacing. Acer only sells the Upper Case Assembly as a combined unit for this laptop, if you want a keyboard search eBay as they sell none oem keyboards for the Nitro AN515-51 laptop. good luck and hope this helps you out.

Non-Genuine AN515-51 Keyboard sold on eBay:
