How do I get an equalizer? I saw DTS-X on my machine once, it is now gone.

Shouldn't DTS-X be built in? With all this fancy stuff on these gaming laptops there is no equalizer for external speakers? I saw DTS-X on my machine once, but with all the problems I was having with SENSE, uninstalling, reinstalling etc etc it is now gone. I could not find a driver or app download for DTS-X for my system.

Use the FREE FxSound sound enhancer as its just like and as good as DTS and is what I'm using with my Nitro laptop and it works perfectly. I highly recommend it.

Uninstall the DTS-X if you see it, than install it from the below link

There are at least two playback/audio programs that have equalizers that can boost the volume with >12db, Windows Media Player when you right click (context menu) on the opened window you will see the Equalizer option and in DTS in the top left or right menu (see pics):
