I have an Acer A515-45-R74Z laptop and purchased a SSD (Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD). I see the space for the hard drive when I opened the computer, but there is no "holder" (I believe it's called a chassis), to screw it in, and no connector.

Can someone help me out with the model I need to buy to secure/connect this ssd? This is proving much more difficult than any other upgrade I've done. It's usually already inside the laptop or comes with the hard drive. Thanks

Yes, your Aspire A515-45 need a SATA kit to mount the 2.5" HDD, which Acer includes with some laptops in many countries but it looks like your model didn't get one, what you need are all the parts below which you can get by searching the web with the Acer part numbers on the right of the captions, Only use the Acer part number SATA cable/plug below as these cables are specifically made for every model, good luck and hope this help you out.
