Internal network card, waiting for the new Wi-Fi 7 standard or the Wi-Fi 6 6 GHz card

Hello, I have a Killer ax network card. I'm thinking about changing it, or more precisely, waiting for the new Wi-Fi 7 standard or the Wi-Fi 6 6 GHz card, and it doesn't necessarily have to be from Intel as it is now?

Don't change your Wi-Fi card to a 7 standard from a 5, 6 or 6E, changing to Wi-Fi 7 the answer depends on your end use device. Wi-Fi 7 works like previous Wi-Fi standards and is backward compatible with Wi-Fi 6E/Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 5. If you have a Wi-Fi 7 compatible access point (AP), you don’t have to change your current laptop or smartphone, as they’ll connect on a single band just like before.

Also be aware that these Wi-Fi/BT cards are very delicate to change and clip their MAIN and AUX antenna wires to the top of the card and in allot of cards that clip gets damaged and then you will not be able to clip the antenna wires to the card, which will result in not getting a signal and even as drastic as having to changing the two antenna wires completely, which is a big job. My advice to you is to leave your Wi-Fi 5, 6 or 6E Killer AX card alone and like it was fitted by Acer and use that, as in and if you change to the Wi-Fi 7 the software will not be compatible with your laptop.

Btw, I speak from experience as I tried to change my oem Killer AX1650i Wi-Fi 6 card to an Intel AX211NGW which is a Wi-Fi 6E card and this card software was not compatible with my Nitro AN515-56 laptop and it didn't work, it was a real hassle to change and then change to the oem Wi-Fi card back, so be aware of all this and what I've said above.
