PO3-620 Sometimes stuck at boot menu

Twice this week I will turn on my PC, go do a few things and come back expecting my login screen, but it's still on the predator logo screen. Since I leave the area/am used to hearing it, I can't remember if the post beep goes off or not.

Turning the PC off through the button and then back on has fixed it so far. However, I am worried there might be something wrong with the new RAM I installed (2x16). I checked for compatibility a million times over. The first RAM test I ran did not show me any results (I tried to fix this but became unsure if it was needed since it was booting fine).

What could be the problem - power, MB, SSD, RAM? Something else?

PO3-620

originally had 2x8GB

New RAM is Crucial DDR4 Pro, can try to look up more specs if needed

Please tap del continuously while turning on the computer.    It will go to bios.   On the info menu, please check whether you are able to see hdd info.  You can find the hdd model name and serial no.

Doing power drain and bios defaults will really help.

Try these basic steps as you are using a Acer PC.

    Turn off the computer.
Unplug all the devices and cables including power cable.
Press and hold the power button for 45 seconds.
Connect all the cables back.    Please connect the power cable as the last one.

    Turn on the computer
    Tap del
    Go to bios
press f9 - Load defaults - press yes
press f10 - save the changes - press yes

Computer should load the windows ..

Look up more specs for us. Specifically the model number of the new memory. Is it XMP enabled memory or the standard JEDEC type?

It is XMP enabled. This should be the listing

I really cannot get into BIOS when it refuses to boot. Am I supposed to hit Del repeatedly for longer than 2 minutes? I've never touched a BIOS menu as I don't overclock or mess around with any power settings.

OK, that XMP memory will run at it's base speed, IIRC that is 2133MHz. It will also force all other memory in the system down to that speed. You may just be running into an issue where something doesn't like running quite that slow. Send the new memory back for a refund and purchase the correct speed for your system. The PO3-620 doesn't support XMP overclocking.

@billsey ok, that is interesting. I'll take that advice. I used this site and perhaps picked out the wrong model from Amazon since the exact number isn't on the listing page I linkedhttps://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory-ram-upgrades/acer/predator-desktop/po3-620#!corsair-vengeance-lpx-ddr4-pc4-21300-2666mhz-dimm

going from that though, is this set going to work better?

    Amazon.com: Corsair CMK32GX4M2A2666C16 Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz (PC4-21300) C16 Memory Kit - Black : Electronics

Yeah, sites like that always give you the most expensive options even if they aren't correct. The second choice, DDR4 PC4-21300 2666MHz 288-pin DIMM, is correct and lot cheaper. The Amazon link is also XMP memory, so not the right choice.

I found a close match on amazon (faster speed but it says it will downclock, isn't XMP, and is cheaper than ordering overseas from the UK)

    Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Desktop Memory CT2K16G4DFRA32A at Amazon.com

Yes, it's sometimes the case that the faster memory can be cheaper than the original, when there's a lot more of it in the channel. That should work fine.
