It looks like you can install 2 m.2 PCIe drives on your laptop, according to this picture. There is a slot on the left (the grayish/black bar that has a “1” in a circle and says “PCIE” in white text under it right above the silver hard drive) and a slot on the right ( to the right of the green RAM that has a “2” in a circle and says “PCIE/SATA” in white text below it). looks like they should be FULL LENGTH m.2 2280 drives

The below specs are the initial storage specs listed by Acer in its SG and the M.2 SSD drives that it has tested with the AN515-42 laptop. You have to be aware that Acer upgraded the AN515-42 laptop to different models like you have which is the AN515-42-R6VU which could have provisions for NVMe M.2 SSD drive. Acer does not list NVMe M.2 specific specs for the AN515-42 or specificaly lists M.2 SSD NVMe drives for the AN515-42-R6VU model that you have, you have to determine that yourself, read this article How to Tell If My M.2 Slot is NVMe or SATA? - PC Guide 101 so you can determine if your laptop does work with an NVMe M2 drive.
