I've spent all day on this, it doesn't work. Worked for a month until this morning, lost keyboard lighting and all readings in Predator Sense. Troubleshooted and applied all found fixes and nothing works and tech support doesn't have a clue. It's a big problem. Gonna have to return this laptop.

Hello. I am sorry your predator sense is not working. Have you tried my response to your other post? Make sure windows is not killing the program in the background. Start the program in windows task manager manually?

Thanks, I'll have to look for it, but every time I check task mgr processes (i think) I find it running. Are you talking about the predator sense app? Not sure what all process related are supposed to be running, because SENSE is working great just no lights on keyboard now. I think I found the Acer Lighting Services once and it was active and running also.,

    @TimmyLee

Try ctrl + shift + esc
    Go to task manager
check whether you see any item called predatorsense on the list below processes
right click on predatorsense – endtask. Close the taskmanager
Now try to open the application..

Try ctrl + shift + esc
Go to task manager - Go to details tab
check whether you see any item called predatorsense on the list
right click on predatorsense – endtask. Close the taskmanager
Now try to open the application..

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    Try windows x
click on power shell admin or command prompt admin or Terminal admin if it is windows 11
    type rstrui
chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fineclick on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..
Try and check whether it is working now ..

If it is still not working
Try windows + r - On the run window
    Type msconfig
go to services - check hide all microsoft service - disable and enable all. Go to the General Tab on the top
chose normal startup if it is in selective startup – click on apply - ok
    restart the computer
    It should work now

If it is still not working try to create a new user - set it up as admin. Logout and login as new user and check.

Try windows + r - On the run window
    Type control

It will go to control panel
    Click on User accounts
    Again click on User accounts
Manage another account – Add a new user in PC settings - Click on add someone else to this PC or Click on “Make changes to my account in PC settings”
Go to Family & other users
    Go to Other users
Click on add someone else to this PC
Click on “I don’t have this person’s sign in information
Click on Add a user without a Microsoft account
Type the user name and password
Click on the user – change account type
Change the Standard user to Administrator
    Click on ok
Sign out and Sign in as new user
You can even create a Microsoft account instead of local account.

Sign out and Sign in and it should work fine

If it is still not working...

    Try windows + x

    on run - type appwiz.cpl

It will show you the list of programs

remove any items related with predator sense

    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers - application
Download and install the predator sense

    It will work fine....

ok on the 2nd one, Try ctrl + shift + esc
Go to task manager - Go to details tab
check whether you see any item called predatorsense on the list
right click on predatorsense – endtask. Close the taskmanager
Now try to open the application..

There were two instances running, the first one I ended task successfully, the 2nd one would not go away but it said Suspended. Is that the correct action?

    Thanks

SENSE opened again normally but with no keyboard lighting …. keyboard lighting appears working in the app display, but not in reality.

I really appreciate your help, I understand your procedure here, although of course mine is different on a Acer Predator PHN16-7173LT, different machine. I had all the available settings visible and usable within the SENSE App before and they all worked, just no lighting. However after my last reinstall none of that no longer works, I have no use for SENSE now at all, no settings work only empty boxes, so I'm going to go back to the beginning of your other instructions and start over. Yesterday I got SENSE working but don't recall exact actions. I know I found the .exe for PREDATORSENSE.EXE with the program icon on it and ran windows compatibility trouble shooter on it and it fixed everything but the lighting, but I can't even locate that file now, only predatorsenselauncher.exe. I ran troubleshooter on that and it did nothing like yesterday so I'm back to sq one.
