So, I've literally had this laptop for 3 weeks & just started to use Friday past, it has crashed twice trying to set up to set up my work profile (as I want to use it at work as it is much more powerful than the unit offered at work) & it has resulted in me having to reset Windows. What is going on? I have upgraded to Windows 11Pro.
No obvious issues but it cannot repair once corrupted,
Is this Defender causing issues (as I have read in other forums)?

Resetting Windows on a brand-new system is IMO a bit of an overkill if the problem is probably a rogue driver or 3rd-party programs. Boot to Safe Mode and observe the performance a few hours, if no issues you have to disable all non-Windows services and startup programs with MSconfig.exe, save the settings and reboot and enable the services one by one starting with the display drivers till it crashes again. If it is the display driver, uninstall in Safe Mode with DDU and reboot, if it is a 3rd-party AV program or browser that you just installed uninstall those and all other bloatware or trial programs: https://allthings.how/how-to-use-the-system-configuration-tool-on-windows-11/ Windows Defender does NOT cause crashes but protects you from anti-malware and viruses if security is fully enabled (all features, including Core Isolation).

    Thanks for the reply :)
The crashes resulted in Windows being unable to repair & stuck in a loop of restarting & wouldn't even boot into safe mode. Even heading to command prompt to undertake repair didn't garner any joy. Reset was definitely a last resort. Literally the process being undertaken today was logging into my microsoft account to link my outlook.
