Can anything be done to modify an ACER ASPIRE A515-41G to be able to install Windows 11?

Microsoft PC Health tool says this processor is not supported.

I am afraid not and forcing Windows11 to run on a non-compatible device will create nothing but grief and frustration: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/installing-windows-11-on-devices-that-don-t-meet-minimum-system-requirements-0b2dc4a2-5933-4ad4-9c09-ef0a331518f1 This AMD Processor was released in 2016, I recommend migrating to a new Windows11 23H2 system with a 12 or 13th generation CPU and use the W10 laptop as a backup. 😉

This is 4th November 2024. I have tried 3 methods so far but none have worked to date. In all cases, I had to roll back to Windows 10. Backing up your laptop is important before attempting to install Windows 11 and you should create a restore point before proceeding.

These are the three methods so far that I have tried without success:

    1. Using registry edit to bypass CPU checks and accept any TPM version (https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-upgrade-your-incompatible-windows-10-pc-to-windows-11-two-ways/#google_vignette)
    2. Using Rufus and Windows 11 ISO file (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUeSvZ6NkaY)
    3. Using Flyby11 (https://github.com/builtbybel/Flyby11/releases/tag/0.13)

For method 1, halfway during the installation, a notice popped up to say that the upgrade was unable to proceed. I had to rollback to Windows 10.

For method 2, the only way to proceed would result in losing your files on the laptop. Windows 10 would have saved in a separate folder under Windows.old. I did not want to do this as this is my main laptop and I don't want to go through the hassle presently of reinstalling all my apps and personal files. I am not sure if a clean installation will work.

For method 3, I came very close to upgrading it to Windows 11. Everything proceeded smoothly until the very end when updates were being applied. The screen went black after a while and the computer was stuck in limbo. I could boot up in safe mode and Windows 11 was running with all my files present. However, I could not get it to run and boot up in Normal mode. It seems like some drivers may not be compatible and this results in the problems mentioned. Very reluctutanly, I rolled back to Windows 10 again.

My laptop is still working perfectly well and it is a shame that it will only be usable till October 2025 when Windows 10 runs out of support.

I am still looking for a way to upgrade this to Windows 11. I will keep trying.

If anyone finds a solution to this, please help to post your findings online. Thanks very much.
