Ok here is my question / issue.

When I bought this model laptop I opened the box, unpacked and turned on.. so far, so good.

I did notice that no recovery media was present.

I am aware of the Acer software recovery program and also windows 11 backup.

My question is this.. if I chose to remove all partitions and use a different operating system, how can I restore this laptop to it's factory state when I first turned it on?

Example.. I remove all partitions, run a different os, chose to go back to windows 11 or another example would be if I chose to sell this laptop in the future how can I restore it?

I emailed the main technical support in the country I bought this laptop in, they said it's hidden in the SSD and for security reasons they do not provide the image file from Acer.

I found this confusing since on Acers website it states that if the customer would like to obtain this to contact Acer in the country they reside

It was recommended that I bring the laptop to their tech support headquarters to have this done by them.

I am an microcomputer specialist with multiple industry certifications and also a computer science degree so i feel their suggestions are valid if I was new to computers. I cannot understand what the issue is regarding sending me the factory image to restore my laptop when Acer states that if the customer would like the recovery media they can request it.

You mentioned Windows 11 backup. You will find in Control Panel the Windows7 Backup app, I have used that app for over 15 years to backup monthly my HDD and later SSDs monthly. Not the W7 file or incremental/volume back up options but the Image file option that will create a VDH file on a USB Backup drive that you can mount in Windows10-11 Explorer for browsing or copying files. At the end you will be asked to make a USB Recovery Drive to restore the backup or repair Windows. After restoring the backup, the boot drive will be exactly as the originally OEM factory state was with all 3 Windows volumes, C:, Recovery and the hidden system volume.

There is an option in the BIOS that will allow you to do a FACTORY reset to factory defaults and it will download the whole windows thing. No worries because what you are doing is like if the hard get damaged then you will have to replace it and use the BIOS app to set it up again :D. it is almost the same with any computer nowadays.

You have several choices, as suggested, you can do a backup with any of several backup packages, you can leave the recovery partitions alone and restore from them or you can use the tools that come from Acer for Windows (Acer Care Center or Acer Control Center) to make an image of the factory configuration. If you choose instead to do a vanilla Windows install you will get most everything that's included in the factory image except Acer utilities and the rest of the third party software load.
