Hello together,

I recently just stumbled across an unknown bluetooth connection (in the category "other devices") which is called "Keyboard_Filter_01".
It just appeared, I did not install it, nor can I check any characteristics of it. Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance!

Just uninstall it, a Keyboard Filter driver is the Base Driver for a BT Keyboard that you may have used in the past or was inadvertently installed by Windows Update.

    Thanks for your response,

I deinstalled it but it installed itself again.. This seems so weird to me.

Also, neither did I have a Windows Update recently, nor used a BT keyboard with this laptop..

Do you have an idea if this could be some kind of malware?

The only "change" I made with the laptop was moving to another country by train, but with the laptop shut off and in the backpack all the time (never left alone)

    kind regards

    Try windows + x

    go to device manger

right click on driver name and disable it

Restart the computer and keep exploring it. It will work fine .

@William_mk2 thanks for your answer, first I was relieved, but after I checked the link I was just confused again haha.

Well so I just went into the device manager, looked up the keyboards and saw one Lenovo keyboard driver in the list (I have an acer laptop with two HID-Keyboard drivers in the list) and I deinstalled the Lenovo one.
The Keyboard_Filter_01 disappeared out of my unknown (BT)devices but now I have a "PS/2-standard keyboard" in my device manager. Does this sound normal?

My guess now is, that I somehow changed a setting in my windows keyboard preferences so it felt the need of ….? idk? Or this really came with some kind of malware..
