Hi

My wife has a acer spin 1.

It worked all the time perfectly. Now she didn't used it for a couple of months. If she presses the on button on the side the blue led is going on and around 1 minute after out. There is no display activity. The battery led is blue.

I tried all the possible solutions but with no success.

Does anyone have the solution for this?

Which Spin 1 model do you have? Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SP1xx-xxx-xxxx.

You can sometimes see something like that when the battery gets confused. With newer designs they put a battery reset switch behind a pinhole on the bottom of the laptop, but I don't believe you have one with the SP111-33 model. Resetting the battery on those requires pulling the bottom case half off and physically disconnecting the battery. There are ten screws holding the case halves together, not that there are two sizes so pay attention to which go where. Once the bottom is off it's pretty easy to find the battery connector. Disconnect then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so to bleed off any residual electricity. Reassemble and plug in power without turning it on and wait for a full charge indicator light, then turn it on normally. Let us know how well that works.

I've disconnected the battery and did the 30 seconds.

Put it all back together and charged the battery till bleu led.

Power on, bleu led next to Power button turned on and after 60 seconds offN

And no splash screen shown? That means either the display isn't getting initialized or the motherboard isn't coming up, and since the indicator LED goes out, it's not the display. Let's try the full battery reset process. Disconnect everything including the charger and flip the laptop over. Use a bent paper clip or SIM tool to press and hold the reset button for 15-30 seconds. Release the button and wait 15-30 minutes to allow any residual to drain off. Put only the charger back in and wait for the blue full charge LED, then try to power it on.

If that doesn't work the issue is likely either a corrupted BIOS or a hardware issue with the MB. A corrupted BIOS can sometimes be fixed, but requires a specialized interface to reprogram the CMOS chip. That may of may not be worth trying since the system is several years old. A motherboard replacement is likely not warranted for a computer of this age and design. :(

Hmm, it looks like they didn't have one on your model. :(

You will have to open it up (10 screws in two different sizes), disconnect the battery cable (bottom red oval)

With the battery disconnected press and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so. Likely there's no need to wait at that point, but I'd go have a cup of coffee and wait until I'm done with that, then come back and reconnect the battery, reassemble then plug in only the charger and follow the rest of the instructions.

OK, next step may or may not help. Disconnect the battery, then plug in the charger and try to turn it on. Some designs allow this and it would bypass the restrictions caused by a bad battery.

Has someone an idea how to solve this issue?

There are some files and photos on that aren't replaceable.

The symptoms that you are getting seem like a shorted EC chip that needs checking out, as this chip governs allot of the boot commands and functions of a laptop post boot and if its shorted in any way, certain functions of a laptop do not work or boot up. Take your laptop to a technician and get this laptop checked out properly to where the faults are. Good luck and hope this helps you out some more.

Below is the Spin SP111-33 mainboard and where the EC chip that needs checking out by a technician is, so have that chip checked out.
