Display won't come back after system goes to sleep

My laptop is new, and I've had this problem from the beginning. Everything is fine until my laptop goes to sleep. When I hit a key, or enter button, or mouse, the keyboard will start flashing and I have both lights on the side lit, but the display won't come on . To get it back I have to hold the power button and power down and back on, then all is fine. I've tried updating Nvidia drivers, I've got all windows updates in. I've changed the display sleep to never. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

There may be conflict with Windows Modern Standby protocol (the new Sleep Mode) and the way you have the Power Plan configured. First disable Hibernate and Fast Startup, recommended by MS, then reset your Power Plan to factory defaults and update Windows and BIOS to the latest version, Windows11 23H2 is now on build 22631.3155. After a couple of hours in Sleep Mode the system will automatically switch to Hibernate and won't wake with your present settings.
