screen resolution on the monitor is quite blurred When I plug monitor into new laptop Swift Go 16

I recently bought a new Acer laptop (Swift Go 16), to replace my previous one (Aspire E15).

I use a second monitor, which is a Ffalcon 24F1 TV set, with HDMI input.

When I plug the monitor into new laptop, the screen resolution on the monitor is quite blurred, especially when compared to the appearance on the much older laptop. Screenshot attached.

All the display settings on the two laptops appear to be identical. No changes were made to the settings on the TV.

Resolution is set to 1366 x 768, which is compatible with the TV.

One funny thing. When I go into Settings > Display, monitor 2 (the TV) shows as a miniscule size, compared to the internal monitor (monitor 1, the primary screen). Screenshot attached.

Can you please advise what I have to do improve the display on the secondary monitor - to the same level that I get from the older laptop.

Thank you

That Ffalcon 24F1 24” HD LED TV is a low-resolution monitor/TV at max 1366x768 and the Acer Swift Go SFG16-71 model laptop models have oem resolution screens of either a 1920 x 1200p/60Hz or its higher spec screen is at 3200 x 2000p/120Hz, which is far superior screen than the Ffalcon 24F1 LED TV max 1366x768 and that is why you are getting a blurry image, try to lower the 2nd monitors Display resolution in windows to 1366x768 and see if the LED TV screen works better and with a clearer image. If not then you need a higher resolution 2nd monitor that is compatible with the Swift Go SFG16-71 laptop to work best with. Good luck

In "Extend these displays" there is an option to output to only one screen. Since Windows XP Microsoft Corp. working hard towards improving the appearance of Windows. A beautiful design of the controls has appeared with maximum smoothing of contrasts; from the presented files it can be seen that black is often replaced by gray and even the green stripe does not have clear boundaries. Clear Type fonts are also smoother, and this is further improved in subsequent versions of Windows. The previous laptop may have had a different operating system. Screenshot is done by the display driver from video memory.

In "Safe Mode" you can get an image on the screen with a decrease in the enhancement effects inherent in the operating system.

In a graphics program, you can draw simple shapes and see how clearly their boundaries are displayed.

The monitors in the diagram are shown in size according to the pixel resolution of their matrices and in this case logically look completely disproportionate.

The resolution difference is why Display Settings has the images so different in size. Check to make sure Windows isn't using any scaling on the 1366x768 screen. If it's at 125% or 150% scaling it will be blurry.

The EDID of the monitor, which is called a monitor descriptor inside Windows and is stored in its entirety in the registry as the “EDID” parameter of the display starting from Windows 11, also contains the value of the screen size in centimeters and millimeters, and based on this, Windows 11 first automatically sets the appropriate " Scale" in "Scale & Layout" in "System & Display" to avoid shocking the user with small text and control sizes on high-resolution displays. Therefore, as stated by Acer, it is worth checking, although at the specified screen sizes and resolutions it is usually 100%. The 1366x768 resolution was popular with early 10" tablets and looked very good.

Connecting your TV to your tablet or laptop makes sense to get better sound without headphones.
