The board is the DB.E1Z11.001

does anyone have a clue which pins correspond to what? I am installing an external power switch key for my desk. Need to know what is the power +- hdd +- and led +-, any ideas?

here is the motherboard. The pins are in the top right.

they are not labeled on the pcb of course probably for proprietary reasons, however I was able to simulate a power switch with a paperclip by shorting the top two left pins(maybe?)

anything helps.

There are no pin descriptions for the front panel of the N50-610 desktop, these front panel connections are all plug and play, you need to figure the pins out yourself from the oem plugs that correspond to the front panel pins. To assist you here is the N50-610 mainboard layout, so figure it out yourself, as its easy. Good Luck.

hey guys, reporting back with success.

it seems as though the acer case switch only utilized the top left four pins.

from left to right it goes power led + power led - then power sw is the following two pins, not sure which is positive or negative e but this is what it looks like with the new switch. If anyone is wondering I ran the cable through the top of the case that slides out when you remove the front panel in the way.

    cheers!

I've answered this question for you, and you need to do some research and work it out with trial and error for yourself. Look at the sites that explain these mainboard Power button/LED cable headers, as the N50-610 has a 14pin mainboard plug, follow this guide below and see, as Acer does NOT detail these pins in the N50-610 desktops manual and if you can't figure it out, then take your N50-610 desktop top a technician that can.
