The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R5RJ laptop, equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, features a USB-C port on the right side. Let’s explore its capabilities:
    USB-C
    USB-C Port:
The USB-C port on your laptop supports DisplayPort over USB-C.
This means you can use it for video output to connect external displays.
    Display Options:
You can connect an external monitor or display using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.
Ensure that your monitor supports DisplayPort input.
The USB-C port provides a convenient way to extend your screen or use multiple displays.
    Thunderbolt Support:
Check if your USB-C port has a Thunderbolt symbol next to it.
If it does, your model is capable of displaying video output through that USB-C port.
If not, the USB-C port functions like regular USB ports without video output.
    HDMI
    HDMI Alternative:
Additionally, your laptop has an HDMI 2.1 port (connected to the NVIDIA GPU).
You can use this HDMI port for display output as well.
In summary, your USB-C port can indeed be used for display output, especially if it has Thunderbolt support. Connect it to a compatible monitor or use the HDMI port for an alternative display option. Enjoy your extended workspace! 🖥️🔌
