Hi,

SF314-511-58KA with Windows 11 on it

Concerning its touchpad just only to move the (mouse) cursor on screen works. Its every other function is no more present, starting up to 10 days ago. It means one can't click on an item on screen to select or open it.

Before this failure started to be present touchpad worked fine.

On another side USB mouse attached works fine but that's not the point to use mouse instead of touchpad.

One time user decided to remove temporarily drivers which helped but only for short time unfortunately.

Further observation: Yet while all was fine the touchplate showed always tiny but typical haptic (going down by 1 mm or so) on depressing plate. Now during failure is present that haptic is no more present too.

What may be possible reason?

    It is Swift 3.

The appliance was shut down last up to 4 days. Last hour user switched it on again. And the touchpad works again fine. Is this a common behavior?

Go into the BIOS and check to see what mode the touchpad is in. You may have to do a Ctrl-S to see that option.

Your laptop touchpad might have been accidentally disabled. You need to re-enable your touchpad to be able to use it. To re-enable your touchpad: On your laptop keyboard, press the Fn key and the F6 or F7 key (the function key with a touchpad icon on it) at the same time.

Proposal doesn't touch the point raised, unfortunately.

I am glad the touch pad is working fine now. If it is not working in the future please let us know. If it is not working then we will try to reinstall drivers.

If it is still not working
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
go to drivers - Install the i/o drivers first and then install the touch pad driver

Click on "Yes" if it answers your question.

Please click YES if I answered your question
