It seems you’re encountering an unusual issue with your laptop. Troubleshoot the laptop and try these steps::

    1. Check for Stuck Keys: Sometimes stuck keys on the keyboard can cause unexpected behavior. Ensure that no keys are physically stuck or pressed down. If any key seems stuck, gently press it to release it.
    2. Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter:
    3. Check for Corrupted Boot Files:
      • Corrupted boot files can cause booting issues. Running a Startup Repair may help resolve this.
      • If the problem persists, it’s essential to rule out hardware issues.
    4. Contact Laptop Manufacturer:
      • Since you’ve already reinstalled Windows without success, it’s best to reach out to your laptop manufacturer.
      • Faulty hardware might be the reason behind the issue.

Remember to verify that no keys are stuck on your keyboard and see if the above diagnostic steps will fix the problem. Good luck.

Note: In bios only arrow keys, functions keys and only some other keys will be working. Just check what happens when you press the * key. Check whether the computer is heating up after staying in bios for 45 mins. Also check whether it happens on any other keys on keyboard. This issue could be due to a variety of reasons, including a faulty keyboard or a software glitch12. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check the Keyboard: The problem might be due to a faulty keyboard2. If possible, try using an external keyboard and see if the problem persists2.

Boot in Safe Mode: Try booting your laptop in safe mode3. Before the Windows logo appears, press F8 to access the Boot Options menu. In the menu, select “Safe Mode”. If “Safe Mode” works, check for updates and drivers3.

Reset the Machine: You can try resetting the machine again4. Shut down the laptop, then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10. A recovery screen should appear. Follow the directions to reset the machine4.

Disable & Re-enable the ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery: This method involves going into the device manager, finding the “Batteries” section, and disabling and re-enabling the "ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery"5.

Restore the Default Power Schemes: Restoring the default power schemes can sometimes solve power-related issues5.

Replace the Battery: If your laptop only works when plugged in, the battery might need to be replaced5.

Please remember to take necessary precautions when working with electronic components to avoid any risk of electric shock2. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, consider seeking help from a professional.
