My touchpad is missing/not working on my Acer 5 Nitro intel core i5, Model# N22c1

I've been trying to fix my touchpad for awhile now and I've been fruitless. I've tried going into my bios and finding it/ activating it through there but it can't be found. The driver seems to be missing entirely.

The Model N22C1 is the Nitro 5 AN515-58 laptop, and your laptop should be under the Acer 2 years warranty, so get your laptop to Acer support and get them to fix this problem. As Touchpad issues are due to either a software fault or hardware fault where the cable is not connected properly or the touchpad is faulty.

Try and troubleshoot this issue the following way:

1. Re-enable the Touchpad:
   • On your laptop keyboard, press the Fn key and the F6 or F7 key (the function key with a touchpad icon on it) simultaneously. This should re-enable your touchpad. Check if it’s working now12.
2. Check Device Manager:
   • Go to Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search bar).
   • Locate the HID touchpad driver under Human Interface Devices.
   • Uninstall the driver and then restart your laptop.

3. Windows Updates:
   • Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date. Go to Settings, click on Updates, and then select Check for Updates4.
4. Touchpad Driver Update:
   • Visit the Acer support page for your laptop model.
   • Download and reinstall the touchpad driver.
   • Restart your notebook and see if that resolves the issue5.

If all the above don't fix your touchpad problems then its the hardware of either the FFC cable or the touchpad and the parts below need changing for your Nitro AN515-58. Goos luck.
