Hello everybody,

I have had this laptop for years now and it's just been sitting in a drawer, I wanted to use it since I'm going on vacation tomorrow and figured it would be nice for getting work done, ETC. It was running very slow so i decided to factory rest it which it fixed quite a few problems and it is running smoothly, however, a problem it didn't fix was the charging.

This laptop won't even hold a charge and won't even charge at all, it is just stuck at 0 percent and if i unplug then it dies. I don't know what to do and if i can even fix this. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know which exact Nitro laptop you have, but if this laptop is old and was left in a drawer and not powered on for a long time then your battery could have shut down and that is why its not charging or when you disconnect the adapter it turns off, as the adapter is the only means of power that powers the battery and the battery doesn't take any charge.

The worst thing that you can do to a gaming laptop is to leave its battery idle for a long time without every turning it on, as after a while the low state of charge shuts the battery down completely and you need a special battery tool to refurbish the battery so that it can charge again, if it can be done at all, as your battery might be unfixable, best is to buy a brand new oem and exact Acer tyep battery for your Nitro laptop as that should boot your laptop up and make it work. Good luck
