Audio driver issues in Predator Helios 16 laptop.

I purchased a Predator Helios 16 laptop. I was setting it up and tested my audio interface for recording through usb and once I tried it my audio service completely crashed and while it was plugged in I was unable to get any audio whatsoever. I then factory reset, it worked, I tried to use my usb webcam and got the same issue.

I returned that laptop and replaced it for an identical one at best buy.

I set everything up and both devices worked!

I think went through the process of doing windows updates and driver updates, and the same problem popped back up. I tried rolling back the windows drivers and no luck, and I don't see a way to roll back individual drivers.

Customer support was very helpful, although unable to solve the issue and suggested I ship it back to the warehouse, but I can't really afford to be without a laptop if I can help it.

Anybody see this before, any ideas?

    Good thinking. Common problem. 🙂

Search Windows start menu 'restore point' Click 'create a restore point' near the top of the menu. If Protection Settings is turned on in the box that pops up, click 'SystemRestore' button. Click next. Do you see an automatic update restore point with a date stamp about when your setup went haywire again?
