Acer Predator Helios 300 Screen flashing, flickering.. replace screen ?

Hello there everyone
I am currently experiencing an issue with my Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop. The laptop screen is constantly flashing and flickering, making impossible to use. However, when I connect an external monitor, everything works perfectly fine on the external display.

I've tried troubleshooting on my own, including updating drivers and checking display settings, but the problem persists.
Something weird I noticed is when i change the refresh rate from 60 Hz to 240 the laptop screen goes black, when change it back to 60 Hz is starts flashing/flickering again
I am reaching out to acer community in the hope that someone may have encountered a similar issue or has insights on how to resolve it.

This is a link to a short video where you can see the issue : https://streamable.com/hjtihs

Does this need a screen replacement ? or should i start somewhere else ?

Thank you!

What is the External Monitor set to? 60hz? I'm curious when the internal display is doing that is it using the Nvidia card or the Intel graphics. Have you checked both Intel and Nvidia graphics Drivers and are they the ones from Acer or are they from Nvidia or Intel's Website? I don't know why but especially with Laptops using drivers not from Acer can cause issues. If this doesn't work try a Warranty claim or Screen replacement purchase.

Thank you for your replay. The External monitor is at 144hz, I tried to update drivers from Acer website still same issue ..
I just want to be sure before replacing the screen..

If its under Warranty still contact acer about a new screen if not check eBay or B&H for replacement options just read the descriptions carefully so you don't end up with a cheap 60hz panel by accident.
