Acer Aspire A715-75G only running while plugged in after taking laptop apart

I took my Acer Aspire A715-75G apart yesterday to clean out the fan. All I did was take the back off and take the fan heat sink out. After putting everything back together I discovered that now the laptop would only run when the charger was connected. It will not turn on while disconnected, and if it starts up connected, then I unplug it, it turns off immediately. While on it operates normally.

I've taken a look and all the battery connections that I can see look fine, besides, from what I understand the laptop needs a battery presence to run even while plugged in. The Windows interface and the battery diagnostic report don't show anything wrong and say the battery is at 100%. I am stumped as to what the issue is. The computer refuses to be on when not plugged in.

If you have any ideas on what this problem may be I would very much appreciate the help.

Update - I was able to fix the problem by doing a hard reset of the computer. (power off while on, use paperclip to hold down reset button on back for 60 seconds, plug power back in until power light blue, then unplug and start up on battery)

I still have no idea what caused the problem, but at least it is fixed.
