No other problems with unit. Safe mode worked a few months back. All updates installed. Bios is the latest now. The simple recovery usb gave error also. Macrium startup usb and windows complete install usb would load only. Like to use offline defender scanner if i can.

Have worked with bios settings secure boot etc and no luck.Tried removing what little updates it allowed me to remove. I just installed an earlier macrium image thats good and all worked fine until i did the window updates. Bsod after that. The computer does boot normally at all times. No other error errors on machine. I put the latest bios on as a last resort but still no go. Ran all the file tests sfc, chkd and dism etc. Im quite sure that its an update causing this. It wont allow me to remove some updates and im stuck. I did make some headway as i had macrium reflect fix the boot record just to do it. It fixed my startup usb problems and the recovery built into windows now. Only thing it did not fix is when i go to use my defender offline scanner. It just sits there doing nothing when i select it to start. Did work before windows updates. No programs i use is causing this error. Not much about this on the net. Few days out of warrenty now. Is there an offline scanner to use without having to buy an antivirus program? Thanks

You need to do a clean install of Win-11 version 23H2 onto your AN515-58 and update all windows updates afterwards, and do the installation boot drive with Rufus, as the new version 23H2 has allot of problems even if the Win-11 23H2 was updated through the windows update from the old version 22H2, as all the new Cumulative Updates to version 23H2 will NOT install and will have errors or cause a BSOD, this happened to my AN515-56 and I had to reinstall Win-11 version 23Hs as a clean install and then all updates were working 100% without any errors or BSODs. Try that as Microsoft do this all the time with new versions of windows as this is nothing new. Hope this helps.

Can Microsoft ever leave well enough alone You make since on this. This machine came with 21h2. Wanted to keep it this way because it worked fine at first and did not have to weed more **** out that i need not. Its still at 21h2 for some reason. I will put a spare new c drive in and work from there on up. As i said earlier my machine works perfect no flaws of any kind except for the rebooting into anything other than the installed op system. I knew these updates would destroy but have to keep up with the security at somepoint. Thanks for the reply and will let you know how it goes.
