In Win11 Settings - Applications - Strtup Applications I don't seem to have a lot of installed programs I use to disable from auto starting when I boot up the windows. Same for Task Manager it just does not have the installed programs in there.

Example: Discord

I installed discord, went into Discord options to prevent auto start when windows starts. This did not work. So I tried to do it via Windows Settings and Tast Manager but it does not have discord in it to disable it. So my Discord keeps auto launching whenever I start windows, this goes for other programs as well.

I don't want programs poping up when I don't need them from start.

Any solution for this ?

Follow this link to cancel automatic start when booting: https://www.wikihow.com/Stop-Discord-from-Opening-on-Startup

To uninstall Discord, go to Add or Remove Programs in Windows11, that is where you will find Discord. If discord is not in Task Manager Startup you have to change the setting in Discord program see link above. If still startup issues change the Discord Svc in Windows Services from Automatic to manual.

Like I mentioned in original post, I already did these steps before reading this. I already did disable it in discrod app settings, which did not do anything. I already tried to disable it via task manager and win app settings but it does not exit there, I can't turn off something that is not listed.

Its not just discord its other programs as well, like Ubisoft, Epic Games, ect,…

Ok there is probably a lot of the same info in here but give this a shot https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-apps-running-startup-windows-11

How to prevent apps launching at startup via Startup folder

In addition to registering with the system, some apps can place themselves in the Startup folder, a known folder that Windows scans every time the computer starts and runs any app it finds.

To disable startup apps on Windows 11 through the Startup folder, use these steps:

    1. Open Start.
    2. Search for Run and click the top result to open the app.Quick tip: You can quickly open the "Run" command using the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut.
    3. Type the following command and click the OK button:shell:startup

    1. Select the app or shortcut pointing to the app.

    1. Click the Delete button.

Once you complete the steps, the apps you removed from the "Startup" folder will no longer open automatically as you sign into your account.
