The Aspire 7520-5520 laptops oem cpu is the Socket S1 (S1g1): AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 / 1.6 GHz at 31 TPD and the max upgradable cpu is to the Turion 64 X2 TL-64 / 2.2 GHz at 35 TPD which is not a great TDP power rise and the new cpu shouldn't overheat much for a cpu that has a 35% faster relative performance to the oem cpu. Finding these is nearly impossible and they are pretty expensive. Im wondering if any of the AMD ZM S1g2 chips that are also K8 chips would work. They are cheaper and easier to find.

So I went out on a limb and ordered a ZM-84 for 8.99 on eBay and we will see if it works if not it oh well I found the answer if it does then its a new discovery Ill drop the results when it gets here and I've had time to test it.

I might try the RM-77 it has the right FSB and 1mb Ram the ZM-84 had 2200mhz the chipset only supports up to 2000mhz and I forgot to check before I bought it.
