Based on your description, it seems that the boot loader is not recognizing Ubuntu as an operating system. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as a misconfiguration in the BIOS settings or a problem with the boot loader itself.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check your BIOS settings: Make sure that the boot order is set correctly and that Ubuntu is listed as a bootable device. You may also need to disable Secure Boot if it is enabled.
    2. Update GRUB: If Ubuntu is not showing up in the boot loader, you may need to update GRUB. To do this, boot into Ubuntu and run the following command in the terminal: sudo update-grub.
    3. Repair the boot loader: If updating GRUB does not work, you can try repairing the boot loader using the Boot-Repair tool. You can find instructions on how to use this tool at .
    4. Disable fast startup and hibernation: Windows 11 may be preventing Ubuntu from mounting the shared drives properly if fast startup or hibernation is enabled. To disable these features, go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable. Then, uncheck the boxes next to “Turn on fast startup” and “Hibernate”.

Good luck and hope this helps you out.
