Hi,

I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54, i5 9300H and GTX 1650

It had been running perfectly until one day, it randomly decided to give up on it's Wifi and Bluetooth capabilities. If I pressed the Wifi button, it would automatically turn off. LAN was not functional either, and the only way the wifi would work is by using an external Wifi USB.

I checked online and tried various solutions however none of them worked, (new drivers, factory resetting, regedit, driver settings, BIOS). I figured, it might be a hardware issue then.

I replaced my network card which is an Intel AX200, however the new network card did not work either. I then changed my laptop to Linux and the WiFi starting working again.

Please advise and help on what I should do, how do I make the network/bluetooth work on my Windows 11? Why is it only working on linux

Thanks

Don't know which Wi-Fi/BT card you have but the Nitro AN515-54 as far as I know has the Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 card, and Acer doesn't an oem WLAN driver for this card, so probably windows update has installed a newer Intel driver that is not compatible with your laptop, so be aware of that.

Go into Device Manager and roll back the driver of your WLAN and Bluetooth card drivers to their previous driver versions that worked, if that doesn't work with the WLAN you need to install a previous Intel version driver of this card and with Bluetooth you need to install the oem Acer provided Bluetooth driver version 22.10.0.2, as the same is happening with my Nitro AN515-56 with the Bluetooth driver section of my Intel Killer AX1650i card, as this card Bluetooth only works with the Acer oem provided driver and no updated Intel Bluetooth driver(s). Try all that out and if it doesn't work then its your Intel AC 9560 WLAN/BT card that is faulty, and you need to change it. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
