I wanna know if there is a way for me to lower my temps while gaming, my temps are going way beyong 90 degrees on my i7 13700hx making me keep the fan on max all the time while playing, the fan noise is quite annoying so i wanted to ask if there is a way to keep it cool and make it so that the auto fan speed actually does cool it.

I have noticed that the heat is more accumulated at the back glass panel when i elevate my laptop using a cooling stand(i dont use the cooling fans due to dust), should i stop elevating or is it not an issue?

Im planning on giving my laptop for service to get it cleaned and get new thermal paste applied it been like 3 months since i bought this, i want to know if there are some ways to actually cool my laptop any answer would help me

These laptops are designed to operate at high temps when gaming, 90C is a normal temp and having a tablet cooler will assit these laptops to dissipate heat more, as that is the secret to these laptops being kept cool, as there is no magic button that you can press to keep them cool. Remember that the PH16-71 laptop has high end components like i7-13700hx coupled with an RTX4060 gpu and of course these components will heat up even in a desktop.

The PH16-71 has a confined space, and it can only dissipate a certain amount of heat, the cpu/gpu have liquid metal paste "so you don't need new paste on the cpu/gpu" and also Acer uses the highest of thermal pad material for underneath the thermal module and they even wrap the M.2 SSD with a graphite wrap to dissipate heat. Don't worry about the heat at 90C as this laptop is designed for much higher temps.

    M.2 SSD foil wrap

These are the temps that thePH16-71 is designed for in performance mode

    • CPU TCC Trigger = 100C
    • CPU OS Shut Down Trigger = 110C
    • CPU EC Shut Down Trigger = 110C
    • H/W Shut down: 95.5C

Thank you for ur answer, so does that mean i can keep my fans on auto(in performance mode) and play even if the temps go high or is it necessary to put the fans to max , its just annoying to have to put the fans to max on every game just so i could keep the temps down.

I should probably give my laptop to service when it gets to 3 months time as it would have a lot of dust inside(due to using my lap outside) that may also be the reason why my temps are a bit high compared to before, i stopped using the cooling pad cause i heard it will blow more dust into my laptop.

Its good to know that i shouldnt worry.
