I’ve had a slow computer for a year, last week I decided to upgrade it with new ram and ssd yet it still ran really slow. And then today when I went to turn it on, it just turned off after starting up and it’s not letting me turn it back on again. There is just a blue flashing light.

I don’t know what to do

I’ve already tried a power reset but nothing happened.

I have an acer nitro 5 AN515-53

I don't know what ram or SSD M.2 drive you have updated your AN515-53 with but the symptoms that you are having could be from either and that you have upgraded to the wrong spec ram or you have a main power rail issue in the laptop where either a capacitor, resistor or and hopefully not a most has shorted out, as that could have blown your cpu, which for all this, you need a technician to diagnose your laptops power problem.

First take the new ram out and fit the old ram and reboot the laptop and see if it boots, if it doesn't then you have a power rail issue within this laptop. Below are the correct Memory and Storage specs for your Nitro AN515-53 laptop, make sure that you fit the parts that Acer designed this laptop for. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Thank so much for the help, I figured out the problem. The power supply wasn’t working, I got a new one today and it works. Though it is still slow and takes around 2 minutes to boot up and another 3 minutes to load in the login screen
