Acer S271hL monitor power issue -- is it the Port or the Cable?

Trying to decide whether I should bother buying replacement cable for an Acer S271hL monitor.

When it's on and working, it's fine, until I move the cable, and then it sometimes turns off. If I keep moving the cable, it comes back on. The part of the cable SEEMS sensitive to this appears to be the end that's plugged into the power port on the back of the monitor.

If I grab the connector (sticking out of back of monitor) and nudge it this way and that, without TURNING it (without engaging the cable), the monitor doesn't go off. If I wiggle the cable without putting stress on the connector, it doesn't go off. But if I TURN the connector in its port (which does cause the cable to flex/move a little), it sometimes goes off.

Based on this, what are the chances that the cable is bad, versus the port itself?

(I know it's a guess - thank you!)
