I have a acer nitro 5 an515-58. It was made sometime in September in 2023. I have tried every thing I read on online but nothing has worked. It happened when I add a HDD for more storage, it was working just fine until it went dead and now it won’t turn on. (I have tried to power it on with the HHD unplugged and it still didn’t work)

Yes, that is a common thing when your 2.5" HDD SATA cable is not connected to the mainboard SATA plug properly and 100% (see caption below) as that SATA plug on the mainboard is ridiculously small and awkward to lock in with that cheap top plastic lock. Disconnect the SATA cable from the mainboard SATA plug and try again and be very careful as that mainboard SATA plug is very delicate and you can damage it very easily and then it will never lock that SATA cable into the plug to make 100% contact and for your 2.5" HDD to be detected. Its a cheap and nasty design and its made for installing under a microscope properly, so be careful otherwise you will have to replace that SATA mainboard plug. Good luck.

A flashing blue power LED is indicating a HW failure, either RAM or some other component. Disconnect the battery, unseat the 2 SODIMMs and secure the modules firmly back in the slots. Hope you disconnected the battery before installing the SSD, I recommend bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country for checking.

My advise to you is to FIRST check the new 2.5" HDD SATA connection as that is where your new laptops problem is, I had the same problem when adding a 2.5" to my Nitro laptop, your laptop is brand new and a HW failure or ram should not be happening with your new laptop, if the SATA cable does not fix your issues then your laptop is under Acer warranty so send your laptop to Acer Support in your country. Good luck.
