Hello folks I have an Acer Nitro Monitor VG240Y S and I am looking for the best settings for it. Whenever I turn on HDR through windows settings, everything looks very washed out, yes, I do put monitor in HDR mode manually as well but this only helps a bit. I want the best balance between colors and gaming performance from this monitor so if anyone can guide me with the optimal settings that would be great.

Currently I am just using the HDR preset (selecting it manually from the monitor menu) and using 165hz refresh rate, using display port from my GPU

I want a good balance between good response time for gaming, but also good visuals for watching movies and stuff. Thank you in advance.

Sorry. "Best color balance/contrast/gamma/brightness settings" are very subjective properties depending on individual preferences. What might seem "best" to you, might not seem "best" to others.

Defaults & pre-sets are settings that seem to satisfy most viewers. And there might even be discernible differences between identical models with the exact same settings. Accordingly manual "fine-tuning" beyond this has to be done by you yourself, not by someone on line telling you how to set the parameters that are best for your own viewing perception.
