Hi all! This afternoon I came home and wanted to start up my laptop. For some weird reason my laptop won’t start, when I press the power button the keyboard lights flash on. But there is no screen nor sound of fans turning on. Then after 30/45 seconds later the fans go 100% and then the laptop turns off. Yesterday evening watched a movie and it went into sleep mode cause I fell asleep. Already had a look at the AC cable but that doesn’t appear to be the problem. Do you guys have any advice? Already tried to get into the Bios but no luck.

Last year's laptop so the warranty may still be current, I recommend bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country and not to open it up. If the Acer warranty has expired, you can try the following:
Power drain, SODIMMs check + CMOS reset: Open the back of the laptop and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Locate the CMOS module (with 2 twisted wires Red and Black under the battery) and remove the coin battery. Shorten the +/- contacts inside the CMOS capsule for 2 seconds with a bended paperclip and put the coin battery back with the + sign facing up, close the CMOS capsule. Unseat the DDR5 modules and secure firmly back in the slots. Next, press the Power Button on the keyboard for 10-15 seconds after that reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard. Close the laptop, plug-in the adapter and try to boot.

The problem that you are having with your new Nitro AN16-41 a hard reset will fix that issue for you, your AN16-41 laptop should be under warranty, so send your laptop to Acer Support and let them check your laptop out and fix it.

As that is what happened to my brand new Nitro laptop also, and I did a hard reset and it never ever happened again in 2.5 years since my laptop was new, this is due to the EC or bios chips freezing up and they need resetting, but you need to open the laptop back cover and take the battery out and then disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and shot its +&- pins at the mainboard plug to reset CMOS and then put everything back, as afterwards your lap[top should fully boot correctly. If you are not a computer savvy person then send your laptop to Acer. Support. good luck.

I just got a Nitro AN16-41 and have the same problem of the laptop switched on but stayed at a black screen and not starting. Tried hard reset and it worked, but this happens again after each shut down. Tried uninstalling the display adapters, and unchecked "fast startup" but the problem persists… any advice?
